#100daysoflookingcloser...

Back in April, I got turned on to the incredibly cool #THE100DAYPROJECT on Instagram. I found out the day before it officially started, so I had to act fast...

And for the last 70+ days, I've been sketching and posting every day!

I chose the project hashtag #100daysoflookingcloser. For me, it's a celebration of how drawing thrusts me into the present moment. It brings me a greater awareness of the beauty around me, from my travel adventures to the details of everyday life.

I'm thrilled and a bit melancholy as I head into the home stretch. In 20 days, the project will be done. The practice of seeing, sketching, and sharing each day has become part of my ritual, and I've loved it. I don't know what I'll do when I hit 100!
